USAID/MSI - Research study to identify opportunities for potential partnerships & programming in South Punjab

Project Description: VTT Global has been contracted by MSI to conduct an in-depth research study to a) identify new opportunities for a deeper and broader approach to Counter Violent Extremism (CVE) and USAID/Pakistan assistance programming in South Punjab, (b) understand the extent to which the government can partner with USAID/Pakistan on such interventions to enable scale and sustainability, (c) develop a better understanding of the actions and strategies that the government is taking to implement the National Action Plan (NAP) so that supporting activities may be designed. The study will be conducted simultaneously in 4 districts in Southern Punjab – Bahawalpur, Multan, Lodhran, and Muzaffargarh; and in Islamabad and Lahore.

VTT’s researchers first conducted a desk-based research to address the assignment’s key questions. This included a review of relevant news, online journals, publications, reports, and other media to answer the research questions. The secondary review report contained a synthesis of all the information analyzed during the research phase.
